This position is responsible for assembly of thermal-instrumentation products that are used in refinery and chemical plant facilities. Job Duties Include: Assist with site preparation, excavation, grading, and clean-up. Load, unload, and transport construction materials and tools. Use hand and power tools such as shovels, rakes, compactors, and jackhammers. Set up and take down traffic control devices and temporary construction barriers. Assist in the installation of storm drainage, sewer, water lines, and other underground utilities. Work closely with equipment operators and follow verbal and written instructions. We are looking for an experienced Asphalt Milling Machine Operator with a valid CDL to join our heavy highway civil construction team in Houston, Texas. This position is responsible for operating milling machines to remove asphalt pavement prior to resurfacing. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of machine setup, milling depths, grades, and be capable of safely operating and transporting the equipment.
Job Duties Include: Operate asphalt milling machines to remove existing pavement surfaces to specified depths and grades. Coordinate with ground personnel to ensure milling accuracy and job safety. Perform pre- and post-operation equipment inspections, daily maintenance and repairs. Safely load, transport, and unload milling equipment using CDL-class vehicles. Adjust controls to regulate speed, depth, and alignment based on specifications. Monitor milling progress to ensure surface quality and correct deficiencies. Adhere to safety protocols and job site regulations at all times. Performs other duties as assigned.
Hourly rate of pay is $22 - $30+ depending on experience.
