The ideal candidate will assist in various phases of highway, roadway, and bridge construction, working outdoors in all weather conditions and supporting skilled tradesmen and equipment operators to complete high-quality infrastructure projects.
Job Duties Include: Assist with site preparation, excavation, grading, and clean-up. Load, unload, and transport construction materials and tools. Use hand and power tools such as shovels, rakes, compactors, and jackhammers. Set up and take down traffic control devices and temporary construction barriers. Assist in the installation of storm drainage, sewer, water lines, and other underground utilities. Work closely with equipment operators and follow verbal and written instructions. Maintain a clean and safe job site, following company and OSHA safety regulations. Perform other duties as assigned by lead-man, foreman or supervisor. Performs other duties as assigned.
Hourly rate of pay is $16 - $20 depending on experience.
