Daily Thermetrics is seeking experienced Welders to join our rapidly growing welding and production team. A Welder is responsible for assembling pieces of metal together or repairing damage in metal components using heavy machinery that emits high heat, melting the metal into shape. Duties include reviewing blueprints, cutting metal into the appropriate shape and smoothing molten metal to remove creases. The successful Welder will ensure that projects are completed safely and accurately, and in a timely manner to meet stringent QA, ISO, customer and work order requirements.
Production positions may be assigned to either of the following full-time work schedules: First Shift: Monday – Friday   5:00 am – 1:30 pm Second Shift: Monday – Friday   1:30 pm – 10:00 pm
Job Duties: Design optimal workflow by working with manufacturing engineering and fabrication departments for assigned weld projects Expertly welds small, medium, and large components of various metals and alloys. Read and comprehend technical drawings, blueprints, schematics Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Knowledge of metallurgy Knowledge of various welding techniques, including GTAW TIG, MIG, and oxy-fuel welding Knowledge of manual and mechanical welding techniques Determining the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements Setting up components for welding according to specifications Document welding processes that meet engineering product requirements, quality standards, and safety requirements. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong mechanical aptitude and keen attention to detail.
