The HVAC Technician - Senior will provide HVAC services with specific responsibility for identifying repair and/or replacement needs; installing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading HVAC systems and equipment; assisting other skilled trades; and ensuring that tools and materials are available at job site.  The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but Sodexo may identify other responsibilities of the position. These responsibilities may differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
General Responsibilities: Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Applies all applicable OSHA and related local safety requirements to all assigned work.   Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.   Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner. Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures. Document all work in the CMMS system. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Checks, repairs and/or replaces valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, pipes and other functional components of the system. Responds to hot and cold calls, then troubleshoot and resolve issues. Monitors HVAC systems and operations, and ensures that routine preventive maintenance is performed according to established schedules and standards. Installs, maintains, and repairs heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems. Serves as a lead HVAC Maintenance Mechanic by installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems. Inspects completed work for conformance with requirements of local building and safety codes. Estimates time and material costs on HVAC projects. Requisitions HVAC supplies and equipment. Develops, under management supervision, capital project scope and budget for equipment replacements and energy conservation opportunities. Verify and implement preventive maintenance standards on all HVAC distribution equipment. Operate and maintain the building automation system. May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS The essential function of the Maintenance Technician is to make sure all mechanical areas of the hotel are operating correctly while working within the preventative guidelines set forth by The Company.
Must be able to perform major life activities: standing, lifting, bending, learning, reading, concentrating, thinking and communicating.
For this position specifically: Must be able to push or pull 100 pounds and lift and/or carry 60 pounds. Must be able to stand for eight hours, bend, stretch, reach, climb ladders, crawl, kneel and be low to the ground when necessary, sometimes for extended periods of time. Must be able to see and hear. Must be able to speak and read English, the ability to communicate in another language may be helpful. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Must display professionalism, honesty and trustworthiness at all times.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain facility using consistent preventative maintenance guidelines. Ensure all maintenance equipment is in working order. Perform tasks as assigned: preventative maintenance, repairs, complete documentation. Assist with houseman duties when assigned. All other duties as assigned and within the realm of physical capabilities.
POSITIONS FOR POSSIBLE ADVANCEMENT The next step for this position is in a training capacity for other Maintenance Technicians or a Lead Maintenance Technician. The ability to teach skills and competencies will enhance leadership skills in preparations for further promotion.

Advise customers on the correct use of Liebherr FE equipment and the application of modern foundation methods utilizing this equipment. Advise customers on production rates, job layouts and best practices when utilizing Liebherr FE equipment, especially as it relates to ground conditions. Provide technical support to sales staff to answer any technical questions related to this type of equipment. Maintain competitive pricing data and product information on all major competitors. Identify product improvement suggestions for US market applications and communicate with the factory product development team both needs and recommendations. Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment in order to diagnose defects.
