SNC-Lavalin’s Atkins business seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Houston, Texas Water Resources Group as a Senior Water Resources/ Drainage Engineer. MAJOR FUNCTION/ROLE This is a great opportunity to work on a variety of water-related projects involving hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) modeling and analysis, schematic drainage design and riverine hydraulics. This person will mentor junior staff and review engineering calculations, perform field observations, prepare develop or perform quality control review of 1D and 2D computer models for urban drainage analysis, floodplain mapping, watershed planning and closed conduit and open channel design. This individual must be competent in performing water resources engineering work and demonstrate a broad knowledge of hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and design methods. JOB DUTIES Plans, schedules, conducts or coordinates detailed phases of the engineering work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope. Performs preliminary engineering design and/or reviews the design and drafting work of junior engineers, designers or drafters. Works with external clients at progress meetings and throughout project to meet client needs, project schedules, goals and deadlines. Prepares cost and man-hour estimates, job budgets and schedules. Performs quality control and guidance of junior staff related to hydrologic/hydraulic models or methods. Prepares or oversees the preparation of final plans and reports and submits them for approval. Conducts or oversees personnel involved in engineering investigations and planning work. Coordinates work with other engineers and professionals within and outside own discipline, and with support services staff. May manage or assist in the management of projects. May perform other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

Summary of Position
In this position the employee is responsible for warehouse organization, fleet management and vehicle maintenance, conducting monthly safety meetings, managing the inventory data for both locations, managing the actual equipment inventory/supplies, overseeing the maintenance of the crew equipment in the South, helping facilitate all aspects of equipment of the landscape maintenance division, and miscellaneous office projects.

Essential Duties
1.    Warehouse Organization – this position oversees the cleanliness and organization of the of the “maintenance portion” of the warehouse.
2.    Fleet Management – this position is responsible for ensuring all vehicles in the fleet are current on registrations, insurance, recalls, and basic maintenance
3.    Safety– this position is responsible conducting monthly safety meetings in the south, as well as making sure all crew members are outfitted with proper safety equipment, and inventory of regular Personal Protective Equipment.
4.    Employee Pre-Onboarding- Test potential applicants for truck, trailer and equipment knowledge before applicant is hired. 5.    Daily Crew Release – this position responsible for being there every day at 6:45am to assist if any of the groups need assistance with their equipment 6.    Equipment Maintenance – This position oversees the crew maintenance once every 10 days in the north. Ensuring proper oil changes are done on the tractors, air filters are maintained on all equipment, etc.
7.    Inventory Management – This position oversees the inventory and is responsible for updating the inventory sheets for the groups. Additionally this position oversees the inventory and controls the purchasing needed for the groups. 8.    Miscellaneous Office Projects – This position also serves to assist the northern office team with miscellaneous task such storage unit trips, and various “handy man” type items.

Responsible for supervision of all other nursing staff. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Manage nursing staff to provide health services and professional nursing care for clients, including routine treatment per procedure or as prescribed. Review all client referrals and screens to ensure eligibility and appropriateness for admission. Maintain processes with nursing staff and insurance department to ensure quality length of stay and maximize revenue. Ensure initial contact is made between nursing staff and insurance billing department. Ensure appropriate pre-authorizations within designated deadlines including completing all appropriate forms/ documentation necessary to get authorization. Observe patients and reports adverse reactions to physician. Maintain certification as CPR Instructor in order to train and certify all staff, as well as administer CPR in emergency situations. Ensure the completion of a physical assessment and obtain medical history information from clients and family members at time of admission. Manage all training of nursing staff including yearly in-services required by licensing and CARF standards. Ensure completion of Big 5 performance management tool for clinical staff by the required deadlines and use of SMART goals to support annual performance compensation review. Coordinate with the Program Director and Human Resource Department for staffing, training, employee relations issues, performance evaluations and maintenance of personnel files, documentation and licensure requirements for nursing staff. Complete administrative duties as needed to ensure appropriate client health services, including policy and procedure updates. Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations in regards to client confidentiality. Perform additional duties as assigned and consistent with the exempt functions as defined in this job description.
