This is an hourly entry level production manufacturing position and relocation is not available. Work environment is not temperature controlled.Position Hours: 2nd shift - 4:30pm - 3:00am Monday - Thursday. Overtime varies for Friday and Saturday and may be mandatory.This position requires the operator to accurately set up, program, and operate machines while producing products according to blueprints and work order specifications. This position also requires the operator to accurately measure of product using various tools and methods.Job ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities/Essential Functions - 95%Operate the End Former, Small Bender, Large Bender, and Hole PunchSet up and program machine with specifications of product informationAccurate reading of all measurementsRoutine service of machinesProduce quality product while maintaining customer, and production standardsEnsure correct tools are used to operate machineInspect all work to ensure it meets specificationsPerform any other job responsibilities directed by management as business dictatesSafety Training, Team Meetings & Lean concepts – 5%Participates in safety and skill training, and demonstrates a high regard for safety at all timesAttends team meetings Utilizes lean tools: 6s, visual factory concepts in maintaining order, cleanliness and safe work environmentMaintain a safe work area by working safely, following safety guidelines, and wearing required personal protective equipmentJob RequirementsEducation and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED), preferredCore Competencies requiredAble to read a measuring tape, micrometers, and calipersAble to read and interrupt blueprints (green sheets) Able to accurately identify the correct tooling needed, determine cut length, and program the bender with measurements to run the part Able to identify sizes and numbersMaintains a Customer FocusTakes OwnershipIs a Team PlayerAchieves Quality ResultsKey Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Qualities RequiredAble to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Able to apply basic math concepts including angels.Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
