The human resource (HR) business partner is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the plant manager and human resource manager and/or director, along with other members of CPP Albany Titanium Group human resources in supporting employees and leadership onsite at one or both Albany, Oregon facilities - Selmet, Inc. and Pacific Cast Technologies (PCT), Inc.The HRBP plays a critical role in employee engagement byacting as a strategic advisor, bridging the gap between HR and the business to ensure HR practices align with company goals, fostering a positive work environment that motivates employees and increases their engagement levels; understanding employee needs, collaborating with leadership, and implementing initiatives to address concerns and promote a sense of belonging within the organization.If desired, this position can provide a direct path to a leadership or management position within HR for the right candidate. The HRBP carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas with fairness and consistency, always facilitating and ensuring alignment and collaboration between the two Albany Titanium sites:

The HR business partner supports initiatives in recruiting, onboarding training, engagement and leave/benefits administration.Essential Functions:
Manage ongoing daily priorities of People, Safety, Quality, Throughput and CostFocused effort, creative solutions and constant vigilance, driving and supporting critical HR initiatives.Oversee employee relations issues, including conducting thorough and objective investigations to resolve complex issuesListen to and advise employees to aid in appropriate resolution of concernsProvide a timely response to employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programsApply appropriate policy or law to performance management, including disciplinary actions, termination requests and performance reviewsAdminister performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance and equity within organizationProactively support supervisors and managers in their efforts for the aboveMaintain knowledge of legal and compliance requirements affecting the human resource function and assist with policy, procedure and practice complianceReview policies/procedures and collaborate with appropriate parties to offer and implement continuous improvementMaintain confidentiality of all human resource information, personal health information and private informationMaintain records of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and employee statistics in the human resources information system (HRIS)Collaborate for optimal results in the pursuing CPP Albany Titanium Group HR and division goals and objectivesProactively support the Albany Titanium Mission, particularly in the areas of being an employer of choice, providing a safe and engaging workplace driven by quality, process control and continuous improvementAct as a CPP Albany Titanium Group ambassador utilizing a network of contacts to help identify trends, promote best practice, propose solutions and collaborate for results - internally, within CPP and externallyAssist in planning and coordinating company employee engagement events and activities; significant quarterly events and more frequent smaller activitiesActively engage in identifying trends in employee retention and recommend solutions, driving a target of

Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP)
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification preferred. (Financial assistance available to pursue and complete certification(s).)
Senior Human Resource Business Partner
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification required.
