Entity: Production & OperationsJob Family Group: Operations GroupJob Description: Role Synopsis The pipeline controller Trainer will deliver technical training in accordance with BP Terminals and Pipelines’ (T&P) and regulatory requirements including, but not limited to:oT&P Controller Skills CurriculumoUS Department of Transportation (DOT) Control Room Management (CRM) and Operator Qualification (OQ) ProgramsoFederal and state HSSE related trainingoBP required trainingYou will Work with BP Learning and Development (L&D) team to:oDevelop and implement Controller Phase 2 training, including OTS (simulator) development and integrationo Find opportunities for improvement and/or standard processes to continuously improve training and learning effectivenessoDevelop and implement curriculum improvements and/or new training programs/delivery methodsoDevelop and implement annual training program plansoLeverage other BP and/or external resources to deliver required training Key Accountabilities Implement multiple methods of training delivery including hands-on demonstration, one on one, large classroom and remote via Teams or like platformConduct competency assessments via written tests and hands-on simulator evaluations in accordance with OQ Program and Controller Skills Curriculum requirementsTrack Controller Skills Curriculum progress and work with Operations Team Leads and L&D to schedule and execute training/assessments/checkoffs in accordance with Skills Curriculum requirementsTrack controller OQ progress and work with Operations Team Leads and L&D to schedule and execute training/testing/practical assessments to ensure 100% compliance with OQ regulatory requirementsCoordinate, deliver and track controller block trainingServe as the single point of contact for Operations personnel regarding Controller Skills Curriculum, OQ and/or training related questionsComplete professional development training to achieve or maintain required competence/qualifications if necessaryActively participate in the T&P OQ and Evergreen CommitteesWork with Learning Management System administrator to ensure proper documentation is maintainedEducation: High school diploma or equivalent experience Required Qualifications:Minimum 5 years’ pipeline controller experiencePreviously achieved or currently possess DOT Controller OQsPreferred Qualifications:10+ years pipeline controller experiencePrevious training/trainer experienceKnowledge of US DOT pipeline safety regulations, including OQ and CRM requirementsWhy join us!At bp, we support our people to grow in a diverse and exciting environment.
