Overview of Responsibilities: At Sprouts Farmers Market, the Vitamin Manager is responsible for the sales and operation of the Vitamin Department.Ensure excellent customer service by giving prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable information and guidance on our large selection of supplements and related productsMaintain an in-depth knowledge of vitamins, supplements, and other health and beauty items in the department, providing customers with guidance on supplements, health and beauty, and related productsOrder product and manage inventory controlOversee sales and promotional eventsWork to achieve required sales, margin, expense and labor goals, through maintaining the proper product assortment, merchandising and inventory control to avoid out of stocks and overstocksWork with Buyer and Store Manager to determine inventory, based frequent evaluation of sales reports and current market trendsEngage and evaluate team members through coaching, feedback, and one-on-one development discussions, and make recommendations on merit increases via completing the bi-annual performance review process.Regularly attend and participateat in-store meetings.Recruit, hire and make promotion/transfer decisions in collaboration with the Store Manager.Confidently exercise independent judgment to address Team Member concerns.Take and document corrective actions when needed, including collaboration with business and HR partners in managing performance to include coaching, counseling, progressive discipline, suspension, or termination when needed.Ensure maximum productivity and efficiency by creating and adjusting schedules and staffing levels.Communicate standards, expectations, policy changes, and product knowledge to team members.Lead a team that collaborates to deliver the finest quality of product, highest level of service, and the greatest experience your customers will receive.Serve as a Key Carrier for the store and/or act as a Manager on Duty (MOD) as needed. Qualifications: To be a Vitamin Manager at Sprouts Farmers Market qualified candidates must:Be at least 18 years of age and a minimum of 1 year of vitamin, homeopathy, or holistic experience with leadership experienceHave good communication skills; and the ability to give and take directionPerform general housekeeping in the department; clean and dustAdhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulationsBe willing to gain education on new products and alternative healthHave strong organization and prioritization skillsBe able to perform the following: standing, walking, bending, climbing throughout the entire work day and the ability to lift, stack and maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., from 4” to 72”, for a distance up 2 feet without mechanical assistanceHave the ability to move a ladder to access product requiring a force up to 5 lbs., up to 2 hours, for a distance up to 25 feetAble to maneuver a utility cart holding 20 lbs. requiring a force up to 35 lbs., up to 2 hours, a distance up to 20 feetBe able to perform other related duties as assignedBe able to use a pallet jack to move pallets a distance up to 20 feet, requiring a force of up to 85 pounds for up to 5 hoursManeuver six wheel carts requiring a force up to 35 lbs., up to 2 hours, a distance up to 20 feet Be able to walk a total up to 5 miles in an 8 hour shift should be expectedAchieve and maintain a Food Handlers permitMust have the ability to work a flexible schedule that changes as the business changes, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Possess a working knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals.Have and show outgoing and friendly behavior along with a positive attitude towards Team Members and customers.
