ADB is seeking a Manager, Proposals to oversee and drive the success of business objectives including safety, people, customers, and financials. This position manages functional strategies that result in accomplishing business goals, meeting department financial goals, being a successful manager of a team, and creating a reliable customer experience. The ideal candidate has proven success supervising within a (business group here), strong people and process management skills, with a strong work ethic and an ALL IN attitude to achieve results.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages the end-to-end bid process to successful execution and timely delivery of bid-packets, ensuring quality, accurate and comprehensive proposalsAbility to read and understand construction drawings, engineering designs, and blueprints to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for various OSP utility construction projectsFacilitates bid strategy meetings and legal review processes; presents findings and recommendations to operational leaders for review and approvalsCollaborates with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders companywide to identify key risks and ensure proper governance throughout the entire proposals processHas full understanding of underground construction operations including equipment used, labor skills, safe digging operations, OSHA requirements, etc.Mid-Level Manager responsible for people management, production, performance, and quality within an entire departmentManages functional team members and Supervisors including time, attendance, performance, production, quality, training, etc.Expert technical acumen of the function and team they overseeCreates and drives team KPI’s to contribute to the overall department and team Scorecard SuccessManages the successful execution of department processes and standards ensuring quality, production, performance, and task initiatives are metStrong management skills of special projects, lifecycles, processes, initiatives, and/or functions from start to endBasic level presentation skills; can create and present data, information and/or overall presentations to Senior Leadership as requestedStrong level of customer centricity ensuring the function and/or tasks overseen align with the customer expectations and produce resultsFull understanding and ownership of division and/or department initiatives and performance expectations; creates plans and action plans to ensure resultsProficient understanding of department financials: can identify cost impacts and discuss and drive solutions with ManagementReviews and analyzes data to help make business decisionsHighly interdependent with other functional teams and operational groups ensuring strong relationships and collaboration to achieve overall business goalsUpholds ADB’s safety culture, leads by example and drives the philosophy of ZERO throughout the entire organizationEngages in ADB’s culture pillars and encourages participation and buy-in in all pillars: Community, Wellness, Development, InclusionPerforms other position duties when requested

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
5+ years of experience in estimating OSP utility construction projects within the Telecommunications or Utility industry2+ years of proven success being a successful manager of people and/or processes requiredPrior OSP field experience strongly preferredBachelor’s degree in business or related field strongly preferredHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredValid Driver’s License required
