Preferred QualificationsRole PurposePerforms diagnostic imaging procedures in general radiology on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control. Assists staff technologist in prioritizing and problem-solving patient care or imaging issues, and serves as a resource person. Delegates tasks to ensure proper daily operations. Assumes responsibilities of supervisor in their absence. Assists in the development and training of students and/or new employees. Provides continuing mentorship to the team.ResponsibilitiesPrepares patient and equipment for procedures. Informs patient on instructions and what the procedure entails with a high level of customer service and professionalism.Performs radiographic imaging examinations independently, in on-call situations (if applicable), portable exams, and other tasks assigned by the department.Manages shift operations to include daily workflow, assignments, lunch schedules, and adjusts priorities and assignments to best meet department needs. Enters/escalates IT and equipment tickets.Serves as the clinical resource and expert for the technologists. Their responsibilities include but are not limited to: problem solving, assisting with difficult exams, and mentoring.Serves as the clinical liaison between the team and leadership team.
