MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer oriented System Network Engineer to join our team in Hanover, Maryland. You will play a vital role in protecting national security and driving innovation, with opportunities for career growth.
Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:
- Analyze user requirements, operational concepts, and system architectures to develop detailed system specifications.
- Lead system design and development activities, guiding users in requirements formulation and evaluating alternative solutions.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture and design documents, engineering management plans, and integration/test plans.
- Ensure the technical integrity of systems engineering deliverables and manage the system baseline throughout its lifecycle.
- Direct the development, integration, and testing of complex hardware/software systems and networks, including requirements analysis, concept development, and interface standards.
- Assist with system security compliance and application to networks and equipment.
- Lead or assist with troubleshooting and repair of systems and network components (routers, switches, servers, VMs, workstations).
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science or related field; an additional 5 years of experience might be substituted for degree.
- 14+ years of systems engineering experience in similar programs/contracts.
- 7+ years of combined experience in the following areas:
- Designing and implementing MS Windows Server and Cisco networks in both classified and unclassified environments.
- Designing/configuring classified systems, servers, and networks.
- Workstation/server design, configuration, implementation, software installation, maintenance, and problem resolution.
Security Clearance Requirements:
- Active/Current Top Secret SCI with Poly required.
Physical & Professional Requirements:
- Ability to perform light physical work (lifting up to 20 lbs., bending, kneeling, walking).
- Proficiency with MS Office and PC use.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, interpersonal, leadership, listening, multitasking, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle stress.
