MANTECH seeks a motivated, career-oriented System Administrator to join our team in Hanover, Maryland.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems
  • Manage IT system infrastructure and processes related to those systems.
  • Deliver Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) support for problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution for client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc
  • Optimize system operations, resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
  • Conduct detailed troubleshooting and provide in-depth IT system support
  • Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems; install/load OS software, maintain integrity, and configure network components
  • Administer and maintain compliance with customer system security requirements including updates, patching, and reporting on hardware and software components

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university; an additional 5 years of SA experience might be substituted for a degree
  • 10+ years of experience as a System Administrator (SA) on programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
  • Experience implementing, operating, and monitoring TS/SCI systems
  • Experience with automated data backup systems
  • Experience implementing and managing Linux/Windows environments
  • Experience managing virtualized platforms such as VMware ESXi or vSphere

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Active/Current TS/SCI with Polygraph

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to bend, kneel, and reach as needed
  • Capable of lifting to 20 lbs.
  • Requires walking and performing repetitive motions
  • Able to perform sedentary tasks and use a PC and standard office tools for extended periods
