This role involves conducting thorough psychiatric evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing psychotherapy or medication management to help patients cope with issues such as psychosis, mania, suicidal ideation, depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, substance use, eating disorders, and behavioral problems. The Psychiatrist will work closely with patients, their families, our advanced practice providers, and an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and positive outcomes for each patient. This role includes teaching and training students and residents as well as collaborating with others care givers on the medical and therapy teams. Compassion, strong communication skills, and a deep understanding of behavioral health are key to success in this role.Education and Experience: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited university with additional post-graduate training in psychiatry.More than two years of post-residency experience in treating and servicing persons with substance use and mental health needs preferred but not required. OverviewThe Psychiatrist provides direct professional services in the evaluation and treatment of clients in order to evaluate, diagnose and treat the entire range of psychiatric disorders. The primary focus of this position will be providing comprehensive care inclusive of mental health and substance use disorders. You will:Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders. Diagnose disorders, including nature and extent, and determine the appropriate course of treatment for the patient.
