ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Oracle Database Administrator to join our team in Chantilly , VAThe Senior Oracle Database Administrator will work as part of the overall DBA team to determine, implement, and maintain the most efficient ways to ingest, organize and store petabytes of data from disparate system.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Participating in leading the design, development, and administration of Oracle 19c databasesDesigning and developing database code for ETL of data from multiple sourcesConducting performance tuning and forecasting system scalabilityRecommending appropriate procedure, query, or package changes and optimizations to ensure and improve system performance and reliabilityInstalling and configuring database environmentsas well as performing database backups and restoresManaging, monitoring, and administering of Oracle database systemsParticipating in server and storage capacity management, planning and providing technical support in the evaluation of database systems and database designMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma with 7+ years of experience in the Information Technology fieldExperience with Oracle 19c+ architecture and database design, and related Oracle technologies (Partitioning, Encryption, Pluggable Database, etc.) on Linux systemsExperience with Oracle Exadata and PL/SQL developerOracle Label Security (OLS) experience coupled with experience and knowledge in methodologies to improve database query performance.Experience in the optimization of database environmentsUnderstanding of high-availability solutions, architecture, backup methodologies and their implementation (RMAN, Data Guard)Experience managing and tuning very large databases (terabytes and petabytes) and with automating, scripting, and streamlining processes for efficiency and accuracy with strong documentation skills.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with PostgreSQL architecture, database design, administration, and related technologies.Knowledge of Oracle Cloud TechnologyOracle OCP or OCM certification(s)Linux experience as relevant to database O&MKnowledge of multiple data-storage technologiesAbility to work with multiple teams to enhance their code and improve performance.Clearance Requirements:An active TS/SCI with PolygraphPhysical Requirements:Use hands to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.Constantly positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet
