WSI processes several species of seafood including Pollock, Crab, Pacific Cod, Halibut and Sablefish. Production employees process raw product that is delivered from fishing vessels to sell to customers. Processors can be assigned to various positions within the production department including, but not limited to: butchering, sorting, filleting, and case-up. Processors are also required to participate in plant clean-up, and other duties as assigned.
This position requires the candidate have the ability to perform the physical requirements including; standing in place for long periods of time; repetitive motions using hands, arms, legs, and back; regularly lift and move 50 lbs; frequent rotations and twisting at the waist; frequent climbing and descending of stairs; working long hours in cold/wet environments (12+ hours per day, 7 days a week); and prompt and regular attendance. Overtime is available.
WSI has a zero tolerance policy for drugs and alcohol. You will be charged $20 per day for room and board. (This Could Change before the start of the season) Will be deducted from your paycheck. All WSI employees are required to wear protective safety gear where required and are responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe working environment for self and others. Shifts will vary depending on fish, and processors must be prepared to work 7 days a week for up to 18 hours per day. There may also be periods of time when there are few or no hours of work.
Pay for 2025 B Season will be $17.00 an hour, and overtime is $25.50.
Room and Board: You will be charged $20 per day for room and board. (This Could Change before the start of the season) Will be deducted from your paycheck.
WSI will pay for your flight from Seattle, WA to Dutch Harbor, Alaska. Point of Hire is Seattle, WA.

Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age Must pass a post-offer drug screen and physical Must be able to stand and work for long hours in an often wet and cold environment. Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds. Must have a basic understanding of English, including the ability to follow written or oral instructions. Must be able to climb stairs, and stand and walk on uneven and slippery surfaces. Must be willing to work any shift, including nights. Processing employees must be able to walk quickly to designated areas in the event of an emergency, and must be able to follow emergency instructions. All WSI employees must be willing to work and live in a multicultural environment.
