Experienced Seafood Processors needed for our shore-based production plants located in Dutch Harbor, Alaska For Westward Seafoods and The Northern Victor. You will need to apply and attend a Virtual Interview.
Work will begin the 1st week of June! Interviews going on now for direct hire & June start. Beat the summer heat, cool off and make money working in Alaska for Westward Seafoods.
WSI processes several species of seafood including Pollock, Crab, Pacific Cod, Halibut and Sablefish. Production employees process raw product that is delivered from fishing vessels to sell to customers. Processors can be assigned to various positions within the production department including, but not limited to: butchering, sorting, filleting, and case-up. Processors are also required to participate in plant clean-up, and other duties as assigned.
This position requires the candidate have the ability to perform the physical requirements including; standing in place for long periods of time; repetitive motions using hands, arms, legs, and back; regularly lift and move 50 lbs; frequent rotations and twisting at the waist; frequent climbing and descending of stairs; working long hours in cold/wet environments (12+ hours per day, 7 days a week); and prompt and regular attendance. Overtime is available.
WSI has a zero tolerance policy for drugs and alcohol. You will be charged $20 per day for room and board. (This Could Change before the start of the season) Will be deducted from your paycheck. All WSI employees are required to wear protective safety gear where required and are responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe working environment for self and others. Shifts will vary depending on fish, and processors must be prepared to work 7 days a week for up to 18 hours per day. There may also be periods of time when there are few or no hours of work.
Pay for 2025 B Season will be $17.00 an hour, and overtime is $25.50.
Room and Board: You will be charged $20 per day for room and board. (This Could Change before the start of the season) Will be deducted from your paycheck.

Responsibilities: The Occupational Therapist - Journey Traveler must be able to travel nationwide for 13 week assignments. This position provides flexibility to travel the country and work in various settings. On assignment the Occupational Therapist organizes and conducts occupational therapy programs for the location to facilitate rehabilitation. In addition, they direct patient participation in selected tasks to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance. The Occupational Therapist facilitates the learning of those skills and functions essential for adaptation and productivity, in order to diminish or correct pathology.1. As necessary or applicable, supervision of Occupational Therapy Assistants, temporary licensees, students and support personnel in accordance with state licensure requirements and professional standards.2. Responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of rehab services; adherence to an established plan of care, department and patient(s)' schedule, and timely documentation of services.3. Attends and contributes to patient care, staffing conferences and other related meetings.4. Makes referrals to other disciplines, agencies in order to address the comprehensive needs of the patient.5. Consults with other members of the rehabilitation team to select the most appropriate therapeutic regimen consistent with the needs and capabilities of each patient.6. Adapts program and/or plan of care according to the needs of individual patients.7. Promotes a safe environment and enforces the elimination of fire and safety hazards.8. Orders supplies and equipment as necessary.9. Cleans, maintains, identifies, and reports the need for repair of equipment as necessary. 10. Puts patient service first: ensures that patients and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals' needs and rights.11. Screens, examines and evaluates patients, including history, systems review, and application of appropriate tests and measures, synthesis information and interprets examination findings in order to establish a diagnosis, identify impairments, determine the predicted level of improvement and the time required to achieve it, identify precautions/contraindications and design and plan of care. Develops appropriate treatment goals and methods in collaboration with the patient and caregivers, implements the occupational therapy treatment plan, and completes all related documentation and record keeping regarding these services. Services include but are not limited to application of therapeutic techniques in areas such as:* cognitive skills* muscle strength* coordination* endurance* mobility* perceptual abilities* sensory awareness* sitting and standing tolerance* balance* activities of daily living* joint protection* work simplification* orientation* physical agent modalities12. Designs, fabricates, fits and/or applies adaptive devices, and trains patients in the use of adaptive devices including orthotics and prosthetics.13. Selects appropriate activities suited to the individual's physical and mental capacity, intelligence level and interest.14. Instructs patients in the skills and techniques required for participation in functional activities and evaluates patient progress, attitudes, and behavior as related to rehabilitative potential.15. Performs routine reexamination as needed/required to modify/progress plan of treatment.16. Performs other related duties as required. Qualifications: 1. They must have a Bachelor's degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards.2. They must have initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.3. The Occupational Therapist-Journey Traveler must hold a valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in the state of practice.4. Must be available to travel to and temporarily reside in locations outside of the therapist's primary home. Posted Salary Range: USD $60.00 - USD $70.00 /Hr.
