Senior Systems Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in support of Expeditionary Medical (ExMed) Systems for the Naval Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD). Candidate will work on a diverse team with other contractors and government personnel applying robust acquisition systems engineering processes to the ExMed family of systems.
Responsibilities:
Perform system engineering tasks, with emphasis on Life Cycle Logistics and Configuration Management, in support of the Expeditionary Medical Systems engineering services for NSWCDD. This includes requirements definition, architecture development, design, and supporting all engineering reviews.The position will interface with other engineering functional areas and technical personnel from various external organizations to clarify program intent, identify problems, suggest changes, and develop and document final solutions.Develop an initial Configuration Management Plan to ensure the system block is consistent across the Naval enterprise.Development a Field User Evaluation Plan to determine operational suitability of the final block configuration.
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 10+ years of experience with Systems Engineering, including System Architecture and Design, Requirements Analysis and Management, Interface Definition and Management, Verification and Validation, or Trade Study Design and Execution.Knowledge of acquisition systems engineering processes, specifically Configuration Management Plans, Life Cycle Logistics Plans, and Field User Evaluation PlansKnowledge and ability to write technical documentation and create design artifacts for DoD projects and systems such as Configuration Management Plan (CMP), Life Cycle Logistics Support Plan (LCLSP), Systems Engineering Plans (SEPs), Systems Requirements Documents (SRDs), and Technical Data Packages (TDPs).Ability to perform systems engineering services in all phases of a project life cycleAbility to interface with other engineering functional areas and technical personnel from various external organizations to clarify program intent, identify problems, suggest changes, and develop and document final solutions.Demonstrated ability to develop and support technical positions, to justify technical recommendations, and to write technical publications and reports.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Experience with Asymmetric Warfare Systems or Expeditionary Medical systems.Experience with Model Based System Engineering Systems (MBSE) tools and processes.Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
Education: A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline is required
Clearance: A Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.
Travel: Occasional travel for meetings may be required.

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.
The projected annual compensation range for this position is $110,000 - $160,000 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
