How you'll change livesAs a Dietitian at U.S. Renal Care, you will be an integral part of an interdisciplinary team, providing excellent care for patients living with kidney disease. U.S. Renal care dietitians work under the supervision of a RDN Regional Manager. What you'll be doingPatient Nutrition. Using the most current, science-based practices, you will recommend therapeutic diets based on patient nutritional needs, preferences, and changes in treatment, in consultation with the patient's physician. You will review lab results and provide appropriate education for nutritional interventions on such topics as fluid and sodium, potassium, and CKD-Mineral and Bone Disorder management. You will also conduct patient assessments and care planning activities, as well as participating in monthly interdisciplinary patient care conferences. Teamwork. You will collaborate with the Medical Director, physician/advanced practice provider, facility administrator, social worker, nurse, and patient care technician to maintain positive relationships with area hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, agencies, vendors, and the community.Safety & Quality. You will help with clinical and operational processes, with a focus on improving patient health and achieving target goals for patient outcomes. You will also help maintain a productive quality assurance program and participate in monthly Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities. What we're looking forCurrent Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) certification showing proof of registration with Commission on Dietetic Registration (includes Baccalaureate or Advanced degree). Minimum of one-year experience in clinical nutrition as a Registered Dietitian. Current Dietitian (LD/LDN) license in applicable state is required unless employed in the state of AZ, CA, CO, HI, IN, MI, NJ or VA. State certification (Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist) required in CT and NY. License must be maintained as current and in good standing. Manager will have a small Caseload - At a USRC clinic located in the region. Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania. SUMMARY The Regional Manager Dietitian will serve as a liaison between the operations leadership team, the Divisional Lead Dietitian, and the clinical Registered Dietitians of the assigned area. This person will act as a resource and subject matter expert, will support the delivery of excellent nutritional care, and will assist in the improvement of quality outcomes by providing direction and guidance. This person may carry a reduced patient caseload. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties and tasks may be assigned. Provides general direction, guidance and feedback based upon professional standards and USRC guidelines to support Dietitians within the assigned area in achieving the desired outcomes in the following: quality, patient satisfaction, teamwork, unit culture, and employee satisfaction.Provides communication and training for Dietitians to support clinical competencies and policies and procedures individually and/or through region or division meetings.Drives company initiatives with colleagues and Dietitians of assigned area.Facilitates communication of continuing education training opportunities to enhance the practice of all USRC Dietitians.Coordinates standardization of required documentation for Dietitians (USRC Policy and appropriate documentation to meet CMS Conditions for Coverage).Coordinates orientation and training of all new Dietitians within the assigned area with the assistance of the RVP, Facility Administrator, HR department, and/or other disciplines.Monitors achievement of USRC quality outcomes withing assigned area and facilitates the development of quality assessment and performance improvement projects.Works with operations leadership team to ensure Dietitian coverage assuming responsibility for enlisting Dietitian coverage at dialysis facilities withing the assigned area during times of Dietitians leave of absences, vacations, census increases and vacancies.Provides input for the Dietitian's formal performance evaluations and provides feedback throughout the year.Attends and participates in USRC leadership team meetings which may include quality, USRC policy, team building, staff development, and other meetings as appropriate.Collaborates with appropriate operations management staff as needed to achieve effective inter-disciplinary and intra-disciplinary relationships.Actively promote GUEST customer service standards; develop effective relationships at all levels of the organization.Participate in team concepts and promote a team effort; perform duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.Regular and reliable attendance is required for the job.Qualifications/Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements include: Current Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) certification showing proof registered with Commission on Dietetic Registration.Three (3) -- five (5) years dietitian experience with multi location healthcare preferred; other relevant experience will be considered; previous dialysis experience a strong plus.Licensure and/or certification may be required for any state in the covered area that requires licensure or certification to practice.
