QualificationsYou meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...Possess a PhD Degree in Materials Science & Engineering, Materials Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.Have 10+ years of demonstrated experience conducting pioneering additive manufacturing research.Have demonstrated experience leading a research team to achieve impactful resultsAre an excellent communicator, in written and oral formats, and for a variety of audience types including high-level government sponsors. Additionally, you should have a demonstrated history of authoring successful proposals and high impact publicationsUnderstand the unique capabilities of additive processing, including complex material properties, stemming from microstructure and thermodynamic processing pathways.Are willing and able to perform work in a laboratory setting and travel for field testing, sponsor visits, conference attendance, and presentations.Are able to obtain a Secret level security clearance.
