PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITIONThe position will be within the Mobile Turbine/Rotating Department and is responsible for performing all general mechanical maintenance on power plant equipment. The Mobile Turbine/Rotating team supports a culture of continuous improvement by participating in training, reinforcing standards, reporting, and mitigating unsafe or undesirable conditions, and utilizing the corrective action program. This position regularly requires 80% travel.PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIESDemonstrates strong maintenance skill on steam or gas turbines, turbine valves, reactor feed pump turbines (RFPT), terry turbines, various pumps, balance of plan (BOP) equipment in a safe and reliable manor using the correct tools, equipment such as rigging, fork trucks and cranesPerform maintenance and repair work on plant equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, fans, turbines, bearings, boilers, pipe systems, valves and limit torque operators. (disassembly, part repair or replacement, assembly) using sound technical decisions regarding maintenance on complex mechanical equipment.Perform assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner at the direction of Maintenance Management.Ability to work on cross-functional teams on major projects while adhering to the conduct of maintenance and established maintenance standards and practicesExecute work package when assigned to the level of training received.Coordinates activities with other plant personnel, work groups and vendors, including communicating with station departments involving the maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.Uses, reviews and recommends revisions to procedures, prints, technical manuals and other documents as required as well as supporting development of written troubleshooting plans to analyze malfunctions of equipment and repair plansInterpret and understand power plant prints.Provide technical support to plant operations, maintenance staff and engineering to the level of training received.Perform alignment on Rotating equipment.
