The TCT must maintain a safe work zone that ensures that traffic stays out of the way of the workers. This involves setting up and removing temporary cones, signs, variable message boards, and safety barriers that show traffic where to drive, as well as holding up signs that tells traffic to either stop or to proceed slowly. We are looking for Sign Shop Support. Various duties include Inside sales, customer service, order taking, assignment of tasks to others, monitoring production schedule and a variety of sign making and general shop duties.
Inside sales, phone orders and customer service. Read, understand and take sign orders. Input orders on PC using custom program (Vista by Viewpoint). Assign work and monitor progress to keep production work flowing smoothly. Provide guidance and instructions to other sign makers. Set up and utilizes sign maker computer to produce custom signs and graphics. Marks, positions and applies letters to sign face. Gathers, lifts and carries inventory items such as reflective sheeting, aluminum blacks, plywood, tools and finished signs (etc.) when needed. Inventory control and maintenance Coordinates installation orders with Project Managers. Shop maintenance and cleanliness Daily safety meetings with direct reports Order sign shop materials as needed. Performs other work related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Previous experience in traffic sign production preferred Previous experience with with Flexi, or Graphtec Must be willing and able to work independently.  Computer experience in word processing and spreadsheet. Keyboard skills required. Ability to understand and follow instructions as given. Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Ability to organize and prioritize workload and meet deadlines. Ability to lift 40 pounds. Must be able to speak and read English.

El candidato ideal tendr amplios conocimientos del entorno de fabricacin en general para incluir, capaz de trabajar con seguridad, capaz de mecanizar tolerancias +/- .001, rectificado de herramientas de precisin, el uso de puentes gra, ergonoma y equipos de inspeccin. Este puesto de maquinista requiere la autoinspeccin de piezas, la capacidad de utilizar la trigonometra para encontrar dimensiones, la comprensin de las tolerancias geomtricas y la capacidad de trabajar de forma segura y eficiente. 2nd turno: Lunes - Viernes 3:30 pm - 2:00 am - 5% diferencial de turno Responsabilidades: Maquinista con experiencia en la ejecucin de piezas de fundicin en mquinas manuales y CNC. Mantener el rea de trabajo limpia y bien organizada en todo momento, manteniendo todas las herramientas y maquinaria para un funcionamiento eficiente y seguro. Mecanizado preciso con una tolerancia de +/- 0,001 y familiarizado con impresiones con tolerancias geomtricas. Se sentir cmodo con todo tipo de equipos de medicin de precisin y trabajar en los sistemas ingls y mtrico. Experiencia con plumas y puentes gra para levantar piezas de fundicin de gran tamao. Comprender y manejar mquinas, herramientas y equipos de medicin de forma adecuada y segura. Cumplir todos los procedimientos y polticas de seguridad. Completar todos los cursos de seguridad Pure Safety y otros cursos de seguridad que se requieran. Requisitos: Ms de 2 aos de experiencia en mecanizado en un entorno de fabricacin o reparacin manejando tornos manuales, fresadoras o tornos/fresadoras CNC. Experiencia en el uso e interpretacin de instrumentos de medicin de precisin, como micrmetros, relojes comparadores y medidores de profundidad. Capacidad demostrada para leer e interpretar planos, tolerancias geomtricas y acabados durante la aplicacin del mecanizado. Capacidad para trabajar en equipo y en un entorno CIP. Capacidad para leer e interpretar instrucciones y planos Capacidad para seguir instrucciones complejas verbales y escritas Capacidad para permanecer de pie durante periodos prolongados, movimientos repetitivos de los brazos, levantamiento frecuente con levantamiento ocasional de hasta 50 lbs. Capacidad para trabajar horas extras cuando sea necesario Diploma de escuela secundaria o GED o 3-5 aos de experiencia en lugar de la educacin Destrezas preferidas: Se valorar la certificacin, formacin o titulacin de maquinista relacionada con el mecanizado.
