(Last year over 1,100 staff members celebrated their fifth season or more at Deer Valley).Ski perks (vary based on employment status) may include Deer Valley season pass, free skiing or riding at other Alterra Resorts and select local Utah resortsFriends and family ski discounts, free staff ski lessons and discounted rentals (winter staff only)Subsidized meals at Employee Dining Rooms offered for staff while on shiftSubsidized housing options available for seasonal full-time staffDiscounts for staff members at restaurants, shops, and service providers in Park CityHealthcare options are available for staff members401k plan with company matchPURPOSE OF POSITION: A Level II Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and doing repairs within Trail's End Lodge.RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, and various texturing workPerform grounds maintenance, snow removal, and ground care in the winter and landscaping tasks in summerPaint interiors and exteriors of buildingsTroubleshoot, service, and repair pumps, condensers, motors, lighting, and three phase electrical panels and circuitsRemove/install faucets, seats, drain seals, toilets, and auto flushersTroubleshoot and repair drainage problems, water leaks, and lack of waterWoodworking on cabinetry, counters, stairs, and doorsDrywall repair and paintingOther duties as assignedElectrical: HVAC - Understands electrical systems and HVAC systems. Troubleshooting, service, and repair of pumps, condensers, motors, lighting, and 3 phase electrical panels and circuitsPlumbing: Install faucets, seats, drain seals. Remove/install toilets, auto flushers. Troubleshoot drainage problems, water leaks, lack of water, and effect repairsCarpentry: Understand woodworking and carpentry. Work on cabinetry, counters, walls, stairs, and doorsQUALIFICATIONS:Must have at least mid-level maintenance skills and be able to effectively perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of the following: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, woodwork, drywall, and various texturingCPO certified in maintaining balanced pools and hot tub chemicalsAble to work on ladders and scaffoldings, use power tools and equipment, and operate company vehicles in a variety of weather conditionsAble to work with various chemicals, including pool chemicals, concrete sealers, and painting productsFamiliarity with OSHA PPE protocols preferredMust be able to perform heavy lifting and strenuous work such as snow removalAble to work night shifts, weekends, and holidaysBasic hand tools required; specialty tools providedAble to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditionsDATES OF EMPLOYMENT:Flex Year Round - may have periods of layoff or reduced hoursPAY RATE:$23.00 - 25.00 per hour, dependent on experienceDeer Valley Resort is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
