At Houston Methodist, the Surgical Physician Assistant (PA) functions as an advanced practice practitioner maintaining and promoting the health of the patient requiring care, practicing medicine under the supervision of a licensed physician. This outpatient-based role offers the opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary team of fellowship-trained laryngologists and clinical speech-language pathologists, providing specialized care for adults with voice, upper airway, and swallowing disorders.
