Overview: GovCIO is currently hiring for a Network/Systems Architect to maintain detailed documentation of the network infrastructure, manage device inventory, keep abreast of new and emerging technology to meet ever changing network demands. This position will be located in San Antonio, TXand will be flexible for occasional remote workposition. Responsibilities: The Network/Systems Architect’s role involves network design, modeling, security and documentation. They will also participate with the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links. The Network/Systems Architect will be the lead point of contact with all network software and hardware upgrades. They must be able to work in collaboration with the other network staff to resolve any information security issues in a timely manner. The Network/Systems Architect will maintain detailed documentation of the network infrastructure, manage device inventory, keep abreast of new and emerging technology to meet ever changing network demands. Apart from these, the other responsibilities include:Design, configure and test networking software, computer hardware, and operating system software.Perform network modeling, analysis, and planningAnalyze, engineer, and execute software functionsDevelop test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines for various projectsManage technology vendorsWrite functional requirements/specifications documentsSolve complex problems with many variablesProtect data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning and implementing network security measures.Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and other network and system problems. Posted Pay RangeThe posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. Posted Salary Range: USD $115,000.00 - USD $135,000.00 /Yr.
