Responsibilities: Forklift Drivers at Pol-Tex are responsible for safe operation of sit-down propane forklifts for the purpose of handling, loading, and unloading product. Drivers at Pol-Tex regularly use RF scanners and inventory control systems to pull orders, keep production lines supplied, and re-stock inventory racks. Pol-Tex, a division of Poly-America, L.P., a leading manufacturer of plastic products, is seeking a Maintenance Helper at its Mont Belvieu, Texas location. A successful candidate must be able to adjust to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Responsibilities: Assist with the observing mechanical devices in operation and listening to their sounds to locate causes of trouble. Dismantling devices to gain access to remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, power tools, and safety lock-out devices. Examining form and texture of parts to detect imperfections. Inspecting used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements. Adjusting functioning parts of devices and control instruments. Repairing or replacing defective parts. Installing special functional and structural parts in devices. Testing the performance of devices. Lubricating and cleaning parts. Additional duties as become necessary and/or are assigned by management
