Mechanical Assemblers assemble fabricated mechanical parts, pieces, or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to the customer's specifications. This position may be physically challenging, requiring upper body strength and stamina.
Review, analyze, and follow various blueprints, diagrams, drawings, procedures, and/or instructions. Assemble metal enclosures to include all components specified to ready the panel for wiring. Align, fit, and assemble components using power tools, measuring tools, and hand tools to perform all associated tasks. Document actions and products by completing required quality and production forms - both paper and electronic. Anticipate supply levels and order parts before inventory is too low. Evaluate assembled structure for damages, incorrect design, and/or setup, and suggest corrections or improvements. Resolve any assembly problems by discussing issues, working with various department employees, and suggesting solutions.
