Apply today for our Registered Nurse Clinical Informatics Coordinator opening and continue to learn!Job Summary and QualificationsTheClinical Informatics Coordinatoris responsible for ensuring ongoing training, support and refinement of the Advanced Clinicals and Meaningful Use Initiative, as well as additional support for clinical applications throughout the facility. This individual participates in the company-wide community for CPOE, changes and works with their facility peers to ensure advanced clinical applications are well supported throughout the facility.Primary responsibilities include the following:Implementation and support of division-wide standardization, utilization, integration, and optimization activities related to CPOE and other clinical applications and tools.Development, execution, and support of education plan, tools and resources focused on the CPOE clinical initiative, Meaningful Use and additional clinical applications as developed and implemented.Facilitation and project leadership of the CPOE and advanced clinical system functions implementation.Resolution of complex issues and requests escalated from the division Service Desk or other division or facility service resources.Evidence Based Order set review, approval, and build within the facility.Ongoing monitoring of various advanced clinicals usage trend reports. Identify gaps/areas of opportunity and develop action plan to address areas of concern.Other Responsibilities:Identify gaps and opportunities in departmental process mapping of current state and the future state workflowsProvide system and operations expertise for implementation of process & system changesProvide on-going support and order workflow supportParticipate in systems training for project team, serve as Super User for CliniciansProvides specialized support for physiciansWorks with Education Specialist to design and develop base education/training materials in CPOE to support staff training and continued educationActively supports and promotes systems standardization, utilization, and best practices in the area of CPOE andMeaningful useAdheres to Code of Conduct and Mission & Value StatementParticipates in special projects as needed and performs other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:Mature understanding of Meditech (minimum 1 year of experience with Meditech)Minimum of 3 years of Acute RN experienceUnderstands pertinent regulatory guidelines such as Joint Commission, MQSA, HIPAA and ACRDemonstrated ability to establish and build strong relationships across a broad range of personality typesDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clinical and information technology personnel verbally and inwritingDemonstrated customer service orientationExcellent leadership and teaching abilities, maintain a common vision for project objectivesDemonstrated advanced computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsThe ability to communicate with staff at all levels of the practice, as well as with vendors and other outside agents.Must have an interdisciplinary focusEffective organizational, problem solving, and analytical skillsExisting knowledge of the facility’s clinical/operational processes, challenges and Meditech environmentThe ability to delegate tasks and enlist the cooperation and/or assistance of team members and othersLICENSES AND CERTIFICATION:Associate’s Degree requiredBachelor’s Degree preferredRegistered Nurse license in Texas.
