Experienced Seafood Processors needed for our shore-based production plants located in Dutch Harbor, Alaska For Westward Seafoods and The Northern Victor. You will need to apply and attend a Virtual Interview.

WSI processes several species of seafood including Pollock, Crab, Pacific Cod, Halibut and Sablefish. Production employees process raw product that is delivered from fishing vessels to sell to customers. Processors can be assigned to various positions within the production department including, but not limited to: butchering, sorting, filleting, and case-up. Processors are also required to participate in plant clean-up, and other duties as assigned.
This position requires the candidate have the ability to perform the physical requirements including; standing in place for long periods of time; repetitive motions using hands, arms, legs, and back; regularly lift and move 50 lbs; frequent rotations and twisting at the waist; frequent climbing and descending of stairs; working long hours in cold/wet environments (12+ hours per day, 7 days a week); and prompt and regular attendance. Overtime is available.
WSI has a zero tolerance policy for drugs and alcohol. You will be charged $20 per day for room and board. (This Could Change before the start of the season) Will be deducted from your paycheck. All WSI employees are required to wear protective safety gear where required and are responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe working environment for self and others. Shifts will vary depending on fish, and processors must be prepared to work 7 days a week for up to 18 hours per day. There may also be periods of time when there are few or no hours of work.
Pay for 2025 B Season will be $17.00 an hour, and overtime is $25.50.

The Harris County Flood Control District is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Equipment Operator II.
Reporting to the Crew Leader, the Equipment Operator II is responsible for operating various small engines and moderate to heavy equipment used to maintain clear channels, drainage elements and right of ways in accordance with the District’s mission to maintain the Infrastructure.
Job Duties: Operate trucks and equipment including spray equipment, tractors, chainsaws, 4-wheel drive extreme utility vehicles (XUV) and weed trimmers. Mix herbicide(s) in accordance with manufacturer and District’s formulas and instructions and dispense from truck, tractor, XUV or from backpack. Clean and repair all spray equipment and properly store herbicides and supplies. Cut weeds, grass, and brush in, along and around channels, drainage elements and right-of ways using equipment designated for that purpose. Dislodge and remove drifts and debris (trees, limbs, brush, vines, trash and refuse) from channel berms, slopes and bottoms for proper disposal. Drive trash truck to and from job sites, dump sites or landfills. Check and maintain all equipment fluids, perform daily inspection(s) and fuel and wash equipment, as needed. Report necessary replacement or repair of defective equipment to supervisor. May perform other duties that can be added or changed as the course and scope of the job directs.

The Flood Control District has the mission to reduce the risk of flooding in Harris County, the third most populated county in the United States, with a population in excess of 4.7 million, including the City of Houston, the nation’s fourth largest city.
