The Utility Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the District's private utility coordination including utility conflict identification, relocation, and necessary pay-out items. This position will also assist and work closely with the District's project managers and utility sub- consultants in tracking private utility projects.
Job Duties: Oversee the review of design plans and the utility conflict table for accuracy. Issues utility notifications and coordinates office/field meetings with team members, external utility representatives, and consultants when needed. Process all purchase order requests including follow-up and distribution. Create and distribute all department correspondence including letters, memos, requests for invoices, etc. Coordinate agenda items for Commissioners' Court, including after court action items. Maintain, track and resolve issues with utility relocation schedules to ensure completion of tasks by agreed-upon dates. Provide bi-monthly status update reports and leads the utility coordination & management team status update briefings. Oversee contractor’s workload, assist in prioritizing tasks to ensure deadlines are met. Lead and participate in department initiatives and process improvements. The Watershed Plan Reviewer is responsible for reviewing, researching, and modifying private sector development projects, plats, and public sector infrastructure projects for the Watershed Management Department to ensure compliance with the District’s design criteria and watershed management plans in accordance with the District’s mission to maintain the Infrastructure.

Research letter files, design reports, aerial photos, record drawings and other resources to support plan review efforts. Perform field visits as necessary to confirm compliance with the District’s design criteria and standards. Ensure proposed developments comply with the District’s watershed master drainage plans. Advise management of problems and prepare recommendations for solutions using best practices.
