We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsThe Manager of Clinical Informatics facilitates high quality, patient-centered care through implanting and providing ongoing support for corporate/division/facility-wide standardization, utilization, integration, and optimization activities related to the electronic health record and other clinically related technologies. The Manager of Clinical Informatics manages all functions of the Clinical Informatics department and is responsible for day to day operation of the area. The Manager of Clinical Informatics works with the Director of Clinical Informatics and departmental staff to ensure clinical applications are well supported throughout the facility.What you will do in this role:Guides the implementation and support of division-wide standardization, utilization, integration, and optimization activities related to CPOE and other clinical applications and tools.Analyzes hospital clinical performance, including workflow, dataflow, outcome measures, quality and patient safety, clinical risk management, and root cause analysis. Focuses on improvement opportunities and prioritization within the framework of HCA’s enterprise clinical systems.Ensures that information systems are consistent with HCA standards and the professional standards of clinical practice. Updates hospital quality dashboard and supports other departments in ongoing efforts to promote consistency of quality data/ metrics. Collaborates with project leadership of EHR and other technology implementations and optimization that support clinician workflow.Provides ongoing monitoring and analysis of various EHR utilization trends. Identifies gaps/opportunities and participates in the development of action plans.Utilizes knowledge of clinical practices to determine clinical functions that are suitable for computer applications. Administers and supports all medical system interfaces and related technologies.Facilitates at-the-elbow support for all Go-Live quality informatics initiatives to facilitate clinician engagement and minimize workflow interruption. Ensures ongoing support plans and resources are in place for all affected clinicians and personnel. Operationalizes the development, execution, and support of education plans, tools, and resources focused on the EHR and other clinical quality informatics initiatives.Resolves complex issues and requests escalated from the division Service Desk or other division or from health system service resources.Establishes and maintains strong, effective working relationships with the entire project team, clinical leaders, business leaders, IT&S leaders, and staff.Fosters the development of a performance improvement program for the Medical Staff, assesses compliance with standards, and assists with corrective action as needed.What qualifications you will need: Bachelor’s Degree Required Degree1+ years applicable experience Preferred Currently licensed as a registered health professional in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.At The Woman’s Hospital of Texas, our care philosophy is Woman First.
