The Alabama-Coushatta Indian Tribal Council Employment & Training Program is a Tribal Program that was formed in 1973. The program was designed by the Department of Labor’s Division of Indian and Native American Programs (DINAP) and is managed by the Alabama-Coushatta Tribe of Texas.
Our program provides employment and training services to Native Americans/American Indians, Native Hawaiians, and Native Alaskans that reside within the 121 county service area of the State of Texas.
It is the mission of the Alabama-Coushatta Indian Tribal Council Employment & Training Program to provide quality educational and employment opportunities to our Native American/American Indian, Native Hawaiian, and Native Alaskan clients in our service delivery area by reaching out into communities and joining forces with business leaders, workforce boards, service providers, and educational institutions to ensure participants are well prepared to meet the opportunities of employment such that they may take advantage of progressive career opportunities.

Unlock your potential!Job Summary and QualificationsA Journeyman Plumber is a skilled worker who is an expert at working with any manner of plumbing in commercial and industrial settings. The journeyman plumber’s responsibilities include installing new plumbing systems, drainage systems, and gas lines, clearing blockages, and maintain and repair existing systems. Journeyman plumbers should be experts regarding pipes, fittings, and all manner of plumbing fixtures. Must be able to work on weekends and evenings and participate in an on-call rotation.Perform plumbing installations, maintenance, and repairs, in a complete and timely mannerDocument all work performed in HCA’s CMMS systemClearing blockages from fixtures, branch lines, and main drain lines utilizing motorized equipmentEstimates the quantities of materials needed to complete work assignments and requisitions them properly.Assist with putting any ICRA provisions in placeAssist facilities with general maintenance activities as neededEvaluate facilities for optimal performance on all plumbing systemsAbility to diagnose, service and repair plumbing equipment for commercial, industrial, and medical facilitiesPrepare field reports (e.g., investigation summaries) summarizing analytical results and generate appropriate documentation in accordance with HCA-specific requirementsWhat qualifications you will need:Licensed Journeyman Plumber Required5+ years relevant experience Required 3+ years experience in a healthcare environment PreferredMedical Gas Certification, ASSE 6010 and 6040 PreferredLicenses & Certifications:Licensed Journeyman Plumber RequiredValid Driver’s License RequiredHealthTrust Supply Chain is a critical part of HCA Healthcare’s strategy.
