Documenting patient findings and providing education and support to patients' families is essential to this travel nurse position. Alongside the rest of the care team, NICU RNs assist in providing round-the-clock care to these patients and support to the parents. As a NICU Travel Nurse, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks: Care for infants transitioning to extra uterine life. We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse Float Pool like you to be a part of our team.Job Summary and QualificationsWhat you will do in this role:* Responsible for delivery of professional nursing care for assigned patients, performs nursing assessments/care plan/ implementation of treatment/ evaluation of treatment/ and discharge planning.* Administers treatments/medications/procedures within scope of practice.* Coordinates care with interdisciplinary team members and ancillary services.* Responsible for delegation within scope of practice to provide safe and effective care to patient population.* Integrates behavior standards and AIDET fundamentals of service into all work activities.* Authorized to access secure drug and biological storage areas when completing a medication managementorientation and when necessary to perform assigned duties.What qualifications you will need:* ADN required.* Minimum 1 year of RN experience* Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date* Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateThis role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).Founded as Valley Community Hospital in 1975, Valley Regional Medical Center proudly serves Brownsville, TX and the surrounding communities in the Rio Grande Valley.
