May be required to perform duties of the CNA, MA or LPN or other nursing staff on occasion. Attends and participates in staff meetings, in-service, projects and committees as assigned. Adheres to and supports policies and procedures of the Highpoint Health with Ascension Saint Thomas. Works scheduled shifts including overtime, when necessary. Accepts all call schedule as directed. Maintains a neat and professional appearance in compliance to the existing dress code. While performing this job, occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present for all employees. Reports to the Director of Med Surg.Qualifications: Minimum Education Associate's degree is required. Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Certifications AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), within 30 days of hire. Licenses Must be a licensed Registered Nurse with the State of Tennessee or a licensed Registered Nurse from a Compact State with the proper Tennessee paperwork filed within 30 days of hire.
