Position reports to Technical Manager.Key RelationshipsThis position works closely with Operations, Maintenance, and P&E.Main AccountabilitiesBecome plant electrical safety advisor and expertProvide/manage support for plant network infrastructureDevelop the technical skills of others outside the electrical disciplineManage electrical and instrumentation technical specifications, standards, and guidelinesCooperatively work with engineering teams to plan, develop, support, and implement capital and sustaining projects to improve safety, reduce costs, improve quality, reduce environmental impacts and increase capacityProvide low and medium voltage preventive maintenance oversight and enhancementManage Capital ProjectsAssist maintenance team on corrective actions from predictive maintenance testing of electrical systemsAssist maintenance team in planned plant outages required for major electrical and control system upgradesProvide emergency support for the plant’s 24/7/365 operations if needed.Skills and Experience Required BS degree Electrical Engineering and 1-5 years’ experienceExperience with 120V/480V/4160V/15kV power distribution design, installation, and maintenanceKnowledge of power distribution system protection including but not limited to short circuit and arc flash analysis, SKM modelling, and relay applications/programmingAbility to understand and implement multiple layers of reliability and predictive maintenance testing including but not limited to transformer oil testing, infrared scans, partial discharge testing, and ultrasound monitoringFamiliarity with co-generation, generator performance, and controlsFamiliar with motor control center system design and installationExperience with specifying instrumentation and electrical equipmentKnowledge of process control system designs and installations including PLC and DCS applicationsAbility to understand IT and control system networking fundamentals and interface between corporate IT group and local resources for managing IT standards and infrastructureExperience with supporting and/or managing small to medium capital projects that require electrical and instrumentation construction (preferred)Working understanding of NFPA and NEC regulationsEffective consultant for electrical as well as non-electrical technical staffSelf-motivated, self-directed, and able to take ownership of electrical distribution and control systems without supervisionPositive, interactive engagement at all organizational levelsExcellent oral and written skillsPossess integrity, respect, safety, and initiative as core valuesWhat we offer you: At Primient you will have the opportunity to drive end to end solutions while owning a high level of accountability and ownership.
