Utilizes therapeutic communication in daily practice. Maintains a safe therapeutic environment. Identifies nursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient. Registered Nurse plans individualized patient care while utilizing an interdisciplinary approach. Participates in performance improvement activities. Provides care and coordinates participation that fosters the goals of the hospital’s mission and vision statement. What you will do in this role: You will utilize therapeutic communication in daily practice, maintains a safe therapeutic environment, and identifies nursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient. You must demonstrate age specific knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment and care of patients. Ensuring the privacy of our patients and confidentiality of their Protected Health Information (PHI) is core to your role. You will utilize the nursing process for individual care to meet needs of patients and document all patient care. The Registered nurse is responsible for collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide physical and psychological support to patients and their families. Daily responsibilities of the Registered nurse include but are not limited to: assessments and reassessments, developing individualized plans of care, medication administration, documentation, education, proper maintenance of equipment, and communication of patient needs. What you will do in this role: You will administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs. You will provide respiratory, ventilator management, and monitoring for patients. You will serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. You will monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems. You will assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of your healthcare team. What qualifications you will need: RN licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or a Board of Nursing from a compact state. Bachelor’s degree is preferred BLS required Must obtain ACLS within 6 Months of hire or transfer from non ICU area Specialty certification preferred One year of RN experience required ICU experience preferred.
