Assists when necessary with the maintenance of accreditation requirements and processes. Understands age-related protocols for various testing. Coordinate work with physicians or other healthcare team members, including providing assistance during invasive procedures when applicable. Supervises and train students and medical sonographers as needed. Reports and calls in-service requests on equipment when needed. Additionally, based on the facility, some Sanford markets/facility sites may expand job responsibilities to include echocardiography. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Imaging, Allied Health Certificate/Diploma or a minimum of one year equivalent work experience is preferred. Registration in at least one of the following areas of sonography is required: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or registry eligible. Registry preferred within two years after hiring. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of employment and re-certification as necessary is required.
