Overview: GovCIO is currently hiring for a Drafter II to provide technical support to the Navy’s Fleet Submarine Very Low and Low-Frequency Broadcast Engineering Support team. This position will be located in Charleston, SC and will be an onsite position that requires 35% travel. Responsibilities: Develops AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and LiDAR drawings and models that represent VLF/LF sites located around the world. Evaluates mechanical installations, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs, applying knowledge of mechanical structures and materials. Understands mechanical installation equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes. Provides installation, technical expertise, and training for all telecommunications equipment and components.Incorporates drawing and model changes that are dictated by equipment malfunctions, maintenance and repairs based upon manufacturer specifications and recommendations.Responsible for incorporated engineering changes to the drawings and models that occur during installation activities that relate to telecommunications function including engineering, implementation, diagnostics, and operations/user support.Incorporates changes relating to mechanical installations, and/or maintenance for local, off-site, and/or remote locations.Gather technical requirements, conduct surveys and engage with clients, constructions crews, utility personnel, and various government departments.Proficiently in understanding of incorporating changes to drawings and models that represent wiring and cabling installation and termination tasks.Serves as a technical specialist for the resolution of complex RF Transmitter mechanical problems. Qualifications: High School with 3 - 6 years (or commensurate experience) Required Skills and ExperienceClearance Required: SECRETHigh School Diploma with 2-5 years’ experience in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.Proficient in SolidWorks, and AutoCAD, with a knowledge of LiDAR technology.Must be able to pass background check to obtain SECRET clearance2-5 years of experience with Navy installations that include radio transmitters, antenna tuning systems, antennas, to include: specialized experience with installation, test and evaluation of RF broadcast transmitters.Drafting support of C4ISR systems.Experience in design, preparation and modification of engineering documents, and drawings.Understanding and/or experience desired in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and strong interest in LiDAR technology.Ability to interpret and implement mechanical, electrical installation schematics and drawings.Understanding of mechanical theory.#AR#NSS#nssPreferred Skills and Experience Company Overview: GovCIO is a team of transformers--people who are passionate about transforming government IT.
