Our team specializes in designing, manufacturing, and engineering electronic assemblies, machined and welded assemblies/parts, and safety-critical systems for various defense and commercial applications.What You Will Be DoingAs a Manufacturing Engineer Associate Manager, your responsibilities will include:• Supervision of all direct reports including career development, employee engagement, time approval, recruiting, staffing, and yearly reviews• Assisting in establishing hazard prevention measures including personnel training programs for all phases of production operations including safety and ergonomics• Being the Assembly SME with an in-depth knowledge of associated production processes including but not limited to electro-mechanical assembly, cable/harness, and special processes to work quickly and efficiently in resolving issues• Establishing methods for maximum utilization of the production facilities, equipment, and personnel utilizing lean six sigma concepts to improve capacity and work-flow efficiencies throughout production• Ensuring router/mBOM development, work instructions, tooling/fixturing, and area layout changes are completed on-time to prevent late starts and achieve targeted requirements for cost, schedule, & quality• Maintain a technical roadmap/functional excellence plan that identifies emerging technologies to improve work efficiencies, performance, and affordability including supporting the planning, purchase, & coordinating of capital equipment• Engaging other LM sites to develop common processes and best practices to strengthen our partnerships to achieve 1LMX mission success• Lead the team in providing proposal basis of estimates for both non-recurring & recurring tasks and providing thorough rationale for achieving performance targets• Overseeing Manufacturing Engineering functional processes such as machine programming, preventive maintenance, tool orders, the Build-to-Print process, MPP redline process, etc. as established by both local and Command Media procedures.• Brief functional management, project management, senior leaders, and customers as required on process technology, product issue resolution, personnel development plans and status, organization issues/progress, etc.Why Join UsWe're looking for a highly motivated and experienced Manufacturing Engineering Associate Manager like you to join our team.
