Responsibilities: Join our team as the Recreation Director where you will develop, implement and supervise nursing center activities services with the goal of improving patient/resident's quality of life.*Report to Nursing Home Administrator*Plan individual and group programs in accordance with patient/residents' needs, preferences, interests, abilities, and consistent with treatment goals and interventions*Lead, guide and direct recreation staff and volunteers*Maintain required documentation; participate in budget planning*Develop positive relationships with patient/resident's family and the community *Use community resources to create or enhance recreation programs Qualifications: *Bachelor degree in therapeutic recreation preferred or completion of NAAP/NCCAP Basic and Advanced Management Course for Activity Professionals. *Certification in accordance with regulatory agencies governing the center, by the National Certification Council of Activity Professionals (ADC) or the National Council of Therapeutic Recreation Certification (CTRS).*Two years' experience in a social or recreational program within the last 5 years, health care setting preferred.
