Registered Nurses provide direct day-to-day care of patients and families. Practices to the fullest extent of their license in accordance with organizational policies. Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, functions as a member of the Patient Focused Care Team in collaboration and implementation of the established patients plan of care. Participates with the Nurse Manager in continuous performance improvement. Provides care specific to ages and developmental needs of adult and geriatric patients. Management of acute cardiac care patients and invasive lines including carotid & femoral surgeries appropriate interventions, therapies and expected outcomes. Description:Registered Nurse (RN), Behavioral Medicine Clinical CoordinatorJob Type: Full-time |3p-11:30p with EOW and Holidays Department/Unit SummaryThe Adult Psychiatric Unit is a 29-bed locked unit. The unit provides comprehensive mental health care to individuals between the ages of 18-59. Individuals over the age of 59 are evaluated for admission on an individual basis. Patients admitted to the unit have a primary DSM 5 diagnosis/es. However, patients may also have additional diagnoses, including, but not limited to Intellectual Disabilities, Autism, medical comorbidities, etc. Patients must be medically stable as a criteria for admission. Safety practices include 15-minute safety checks, staff monitoring of all community areas and staff presence during meals and visiting hours. Nursing care, daily psychiatric assessments, therapy and medication management are provided to meet the emotional, behavioral, physical, cultural, educational and spiritual needs of the adult patient population. The nurses work 12-hour shifts (7A & 7P).
