How youll contributeA Registered Nurse (RN) “ ED who excels in this role:Appropriately performs duties of triage nurse when assigned including identifying emergent patients and performing the quick triage process facilitating patient flow, and hourly waiting room checks.Provides primary nursing care to all patients assigned, functioning within a team, throughout the length of stay in the department.Accurately identifies arrhythmias and provides intervention according to established procedures. Anticipates arrhythmias and complications based on knowledge of pathophysiology takes appropriate actions as needed and communicates information to physicians in a timely manner.Demonstrates an ability to start IV's, administer medications and IV fluids, assess patient's response and titrate dosages as per physician order.Demonstrates an ability to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation in the ED, functions as code nurse at "CPA" situation within the hospital and provides needed cart exchange.Manages critically ill patients during transfer to other departments or health care facilities.
