Clinic LPNs help with patient assessments, give medications, provide treatments, and keep the clinic running smoothly to ensure patients receive quality care. They play a key role in coordinating care, educating patients about their health, and keeping accurate medical records, all while following safety guidelines and healthcare regulations.Essential Work Functions:Conduct patient assessments, take vital signs, administer medications, and perform wound care or other clinical treatmentsPerform routine procedures such as injections, basic wound care, and specimen collectionAccurately document patient interactions, treatment plans, and test results in patient health recordEducate patients on medication use, treatment plans, and preventive care, ensuring patients understand their careRespond to basic patient inquiries via phone or patient portalEffectively manage multiple patients and tasks in a fast-paced clinic setting while prioritizing patient needsWork closely with RNs, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care efficientlyCoordinate patient care and follow-up appointments, ensuring continuity of careFollow OSHA, HIPAA, and clinical protocols to maintain a safe and clean healthcare environmentPerform other duties as assigned within the scope of practiceRequired Essential Skills:Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills Physical Abilities - Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend Interpersonal Skills - Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism Technical/Motor Skills - Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel.
