Helps support/maintain site ACR accreditations and Joint Commission standards as well as other accrediting regulations.Demonstrates leadership and conflict resolution abilities through effective problem solving. Effective inter/intra-departmental communication and participation with medical staff, management, technical and support staff.Trains new staff and performs annual competencies on all scan techniques and Advance Processing Workstation applications for CT staff.Assists in interview process/candidate selection.Assists in annual staff evaluations.Performs duties of general CT Technologist when necessary to support efficient flow of patients through department.Ensures staff is wiping down equipment and sanitized it between patients and exam rooms are clean and properly stocked with linen and supplies.Uses ALARA Standards for minimizing radiation exposure to the patient, staff, and self. About the unit2 East is a 16 bed Observation Unit consisting of patients that are expected to stay in the hospital for less than 24 hours. Patients are often awaiting testing or results that will determine if they are able to go home or need to be admitted to another unit. We provide care to residents with a variety of diagnoses. B wing is a great unit for nursing students to develop their organizational skills and gain some experience in dealing with challenging behaviors. This unit also works closely with a multidisciplinary team meets and discusses the resident’s plan of care.C Wing is a 58 bed Medicare/Rehabilitation and Skilled unit and is a great place to learn basic med-surg, I.V. therapy & wound treatments nursing skills. Nurses on this unit along with host of healthcare professionals work to provide and implement the best treatment plan for residents. This fast paced and busy unit provide a great atmosphere for PT/OT residents to be motivated and reach their goals.About the facilityWith 2 floors, 4 units, we are able to provide care for long term care residents and post-acute rehab patients. The first floor has 96 beds and the second floor has 100 beds. Nurse-patient ratios vary depending on the shift and the population you will be serving. We care for dementia residents, long term care and a rehab residents. With 196 beds, we accept but not limited to patient specialties, such as general rehab, neuro rehab, cardiac, respiratory and cancer. About the unitThis unit is a 16-bed cardiovascular/cardiothoracic care unit. This unit’s primary specialty is post-open heart/CABG patients. Post-op CABG patients will recover in the ICU for 2-3 days. The patient population will include cardiac procedure requiring ICU level care, open-heart patients direct from the OR, vascular surgery, thoracic surgery, TAVR procedure, and STEMI intervention. RNs will care for patients requiring ventilator support, SWAN-GANZ catheters, vasopressors, inotrope drips, high alert drips, intra-aortic balloon pumps, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), IMPELLA devices, and chest tubes. About the unit10N is an inpatient unit specializing in the treatment of patients with hematological and oncological illness with the additional capacity to care for 12 cardiac telemetry patients. Working with oncology patients will provide you with an incredible amount of learning opportunities including working with chemotherapy, learning about radiation therapy, end of life care, and assisting with some unique bedside procedures to name a few. About the unit6 North is a 32-bed surgical floor that offers a great learning environment fostered by our team of exceptional nurses. 6 North offers experiences that are normally not found in Med-Surg clinical rotation. The unit has a focus on surgical conditions including urology procedures, major and minor abdominal surgeries, ENT, bariatric and pulmonary surgeries, peripheral vascular procedures as well as other general surgical post-op needs. About the UnitA Wing is a 58 bed Medicare/Medicaid unit that has residents with multiple clinical issues including CHF, dehydration, cellulites, diabetes, DVT, and stable cardiac related issues needing monitoring. Nurses work closely with a variety of health care professionals including: doctors, social work, dieticians, PT/OT, hospice, and spiritual support. A Wing offers a well-rounded opportunity for learning, professional growth and personal satisfaction.B Wing is a 40 bed Medicare/Medicaid/Dementia unit. We provide care to residents with a variety of diagnoses. B wing is a great unit for nursing students to develop their organizational skills and gain some experience in dealing with challenging behaviors. This unit also works closely with a multidisciplinary team meets and discusses the resident’s plan of care.C Wing is a 58 bed Medicare/Rehabilitation and Skilled unit and is a great place to learn basic med-surg, I.V. therapy & wound treatments nursing skills. Nurses on this unit along with host of healthcare professionals work to provide and implement the best treatment plan for residents. This fast paced and busy unit provide a great atmosphere for PT/OT residents to be motivated and reach their goals.About the facilityWith 2 floors, 4 units, we are able to provide care for long term care residents and post-acute rehab patients. The first floor has 96 beds and the second floor has 100 beds. Nurse-patient ratios vary depending on the shift and the population you will be serving. We care for dementia residents, long term care and a rehab residents. With 196 beds, we accept but not limited to patient specialties, such as general rehab, neuro rehab, cardiac, respiratory and cancer. Scope of workThe hospital based Wound Clinician serves as a clinical resource and consultant for the acute care of patients with disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and integumentary systems. The care extends to those with acute and chronic wounds (for example, complex draining wounds, fistulae, pressure injury, vascular ulcers), ostomies, percutaneous tubes, and continence disorders.
