Technical expert regarding inventory control process, Inventory system applications, and problem-solving techniques. Responsible to lead, plan, and manage yearly projects that impact inventory growth or reduction activity from equipment spare parts, safety products and preventive maintenance requirements. Obsolescence and part substitution analysis to determine if part will meet plant requirements.Responsibilities include:Associate will make decisions that affect plants MTTR (Mean Time To Repair) requirements, decisions as where to stock items within HDMA organization.Acquire all skills needed to appropriately instruct department specific training classes. Lead the instruction to allAssociate will determine if a replenishment request will ensure the company will purchases enough goods or materials to satisfy production and or inventory needs within different areas of the organization.Analyze all training in Honda provided systems and department created systems. Interpret and implement projects with significant details to drive change within the organization for issues like overstock and consolidation of inventory.Point of contact for plant downtime, associate will decide where to purchase the required item from during a plant downtime situation, will also be working with manufacture and or supply base to cross items to limit impact to plant/production.Associate will be responsible to make decisions that impact daily inventory reduction / increases. Associate will lead and or work in cross functional teams by working directly with equipment service, engineers, plant management, and supply base across multiple sites within HDMA and train associates on new part nomenclature.Make final decisions that will reduce burden to plant for equipment start up by ensuring right part right spot right timeWho we are seeking:Required Work Experience:With Technical Diploma or Associate degree, 0 years of experienceNo diploma, 3 years of experience requiredRequired Education:Technical diploma or relevant working experience Desired Skills:SAP experienceDemonstrates high level initiative Great organization skillsAnalytical thinkingStrong interpersonal skillsStrong problem-solving skillsAdditional Position Factors:Travel between Honda facilities and local suppliers with occasional overnightMulti-plant assignments/ shift support Overtime 3 to 5 hours per weekOffice atmosphere 95% of the time storeroom 5%At Honda, you will play a key role in our journey to become a company that society wants to exist now, and in the future.
