The LPN Nursing Supervisor serves as a clinical operational liaison between the units and the Director of Nursing (DON), Assistant Director of Nursing and Unit Managers.*Collaborates with the DON to maintain adequate nursing coverage to provide safe nursing care for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.*Participates in the interview process for nursing vacancies and assesses the performance of existing employees.*Identifies educational needs of the staff and communicates needs to the Nurse Practice Educator (NPE) so they can be addressed.* Ensures patient care assignments are consistent with staff competencies, scope of practice and the needs of the patients.*Supports the DON in employing a strong Quality Improvement process for the nursing department. Qualifications: *Must be a graduate of an approved school for practical or vocational nursing.*Must be currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing or pending licensed practical nurse licensure.*Must maintain current BLS/CPR certification (All SNFs and Behavioral Centers; ALFs/ILFs as required by State).
