Overview: We are looking for a Nurse Preceptor to join our team at Gentiva Hospice.This position reports to the AVPO and is responsible for providing high interaction with patients as well as new hire clinicians during hospice visits.Facilitates the learning experience to allow preceptees to perform competently in their required responsibilities. This is achieved through mentoring, coaching, and role modeling correct behaviors.Performs patient home visits in accordance with physicians’ orders.Orients new nurses (preceptees) which includes hospice clinical policies and procedures, documentation, technology, compliance and regulatory requirements About You: Hospice Registered Nurse Preceptor Requirements:2+ years of nursing experience in hospice and/or home health, required.Additional, preferred experience to help you be successful in a hospice role: oncology, hospital Staff RN, Med Surg, PACU, Float pool, ER or emergency room, critical care, acute care, cardiac, geriatric, admissions, wound care, telemetry or travel nursing.RN license in the state of requested employment (or eligibility to obtain).Hospice heart: compassionate, kind and empathetic to your patients and their families.Comfortable providing care wherever the patient calls “home”.Demonstrate flexibility and composure while supporting others in a time of crisis.Current driver’s license and automobile insurance.Current CPR certificationGentiva is a family of industry-leading hospice, palliative and personal care providers.
