The Assistant Nurse Manager is visible and provides leadership for direct patient care provided by specialty nursing unit staff on the assigned primary shift of work. S/he assures that competent, compassionate patient care is uniformly provided to customers including referring facilities, hospital staff and patients in the inpatient, ambulatory, and community settings. The leadership position is in charge of the preoperative area as well as the Ambulatory (post op) unit. We have a very busy OR and great engaged staff. The position does require 5 years experience as a nurse. The candidate must have a NYS license and a BSN. We care for over 80 patients a day in a patient focused environment working very closely with Surgeons, Providers, Residents, Fellows, Nursing Students and Medical Students.
