Lift Maintenance Mechanics ensure the safety and reliability of our lifts by monitoring, maintaining and repairing lift equipment in accordance with all applicable rules and regulations. The ideal candidate holds a competent mechanical/electrical skill set and demonstrates an ability to positively work as part of a larger team. **There is a $2000 sign-on bonus, split and paid out $1000 after 6 months of work and $1000 after 12 months of work.**RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain and repair all lift equipment, ranging from conveyors to high-speed detachable quads. Duties during the winter operating season include regularly scheduled maintenance, pre-operational, mid-day, weekly, and monthly inspections as well as responding to lift breakdowns. The summer season includes a thorough inspection of all lift components, tower work, and grip and chair maintenance. Work on hydraulic systems, braking systems, rigging, gasoline and diesel engines up to 900 Hp, as well as low voltage safety circuits. QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum two years of mechanical or electrical experience. Detachable lift experience is a plus. Must be able to work under timelines and pressure. Must be able and willing to work independently as well as part of a larger team. Adherence to all safety policies and procedures is a must. This job requires the ability to climb and work at substantial heights and in all kinds of weather. Must be able to lift and carry loads up to 100 pounds. Valid driver's license necessary. Join Our Community of Food People!Ready to build a career with a company that’s leading the food service industry We Help You Make It!Our Diesel Mechanics start at $33.00 – $45.00/hour depending on experience!401K with 2% automatic company contribution plus company match up to an additional 6%.Medical Benefits Start Day One!We offer weekly pay, low-cost Medical, Dental, and Vision for Family Coverage. $5,000 Retention bonus!Paid vacation time, sick, and personal time.Employee uniforms provided.$125 Quarterly tool allowance. $500.00 annually.Employee referral program. $1,000 per referralStrong Safety Culture, newer equipment, and excellent local leadership.Schedule:Sunday - Thursday Nights4:00 PM - 12:30 AMTroubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (i.e., tractors, trailers, bobtails, reefers, lift gates, etc.).Perform preventative maintenance within company standards.Complete documentation of all repair orders, PM list and parts accountability.Handle road service calls; perform road rescue/transport equipment as needed.Keep track of assigned repairs by logging in and out of the Shop Fax system.Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations and government guidelines.Maintain inventory and proper recordkeeping.Backup to other maintenance shop personnel.Willingness and capacity to assume increasedresponsibility and Certifications.Performs other duties as assigned.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Ability to comply with EPA and OSHA regulations pertaining to the shop and fleet.Reefer experience.Must be able to read and communicate in the English language such as to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, read and understand technical and service manuals.Able to communicate with co-workers and drivers with demonstrated teamwork skills.Ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.Computer and software experience.Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.Must be able to work overtime when needed.The following information is provided in accordance with certain state and local laws.
