We’ve built a culture of respect, mentorship, and growth and we’re proud to be a trusted part of our community’s pet care journey.What You’ll DoAs a General Practice Technician, you’ll split your time between both our Plymouth and Ambler locations, supporting doctors in GP appointments and learning GP surgery skills. If you have GP nursing experience, we can train you in surgery no prior surgical background required (though it’s a plus, especially in dentals).In this role, you will:Perform outpatient and inpatient care, including triage, diagnostics, treatments, and dischargesAssist in GP surgeries such as spays, neuters, mass removals, and dentalsAdminister and monitor anesthesia (training provided if needed)Perform laboratory work, radiographs, medication administration (IV, IM, SQ, oral)Communicate clearly and compassionately with clientsMaintain accurate medical records and patient logs (SOAPs)Support surgery prep, instrument care, and post-op monitoringEnsure exam rooms, surgical suites, and treatment areas remain clean and well-stockedAnticipated ScheduleFull-time position, 4–5 days per weekHours vary between Monday–Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PMCompensation$18–$22/hr, depending on experienceWhat’s In It for You At Hickory, we take care of our team like we take care of our patientswith compassion and intention.
