The duties of an aircraft refueler will consist of servicing aircraft and other equipment with aviation and automotive fuels with the use of tanker trucks, hydrant carts or tow carts. Aircraft refulers are required to position the fueling equipment next to the aircraft and service it with fuel following all Airline and Company policy and safety regulations at all times. Other duties related to the job are completing required paperwork such fuel service records, tanker sheets, truck sheets and meter tickets and the sumping of overnight aircraft as well as performing normal shop housekeeping duties.

Roles and Responsibilities: Must present one of the following: New Jersey Electrical License, Certificate of Completion of Apprenticeship Electrician from the NJ Department of Labor Office of ApprenticeshipORfive (5) years of electrical experience in commercial, industrial and/or residential environments.Ability to read and interpret technical documents, wiring diagrams, schematics, construction drawings, etc.Experience with troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems.Must pass New Jersey Transit’s Electrician Aptitude Test.Present a valid driver’s license andHigh School Diploma or GED.Successfully pass the pre-screening process including drug test, physical, and criminal, employer, and driving background checks. Education, Experience, and Qualifications: Installing low or medium voltage equipment, panels, motors, controls, etc.Installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic systems, PLC’s, Controllers, Computers, Alarms, PA’s, etc.Test equipment such as multi-meters, insulation testing, phasing, etc.Using and understanding code requirements, including NEC, NESC, OSHA, IEEE, NFPA, etc.Prior railroad, transportation, or military experience. Physical Requirements Stoop, bend, crawl, balance, climb, kneel.Be exposed to equipment that intensifies the heat factor on an occasional basis.Wear protective equipment such as hardhat, safety glasses, and safety-toe boots.Work Locations:Redbank, Hoboken, and Raritan, NJ.This is a Unionized position. Rate of pay: The pay rates are tiered and are non-negotiable based on years and types of experience.Tiers start at $29.11 (80% of the full rate), $32.75 (90% of full rate), $36.39 (100%).
